Big Rainbows
Peri and I had a lot of fun catching some nice chunky rainbows yesterday on the Taylor River. Peri landed loads of fish, including this big bow here.

It was another bright sunny day today and more like August than September. But Rich did well in the morning getting good fish on a streamer, a nymph rig, and also a dry fly.

We have clouds and rain moving into the valley this week, and it is much colder. Fishing was slow for us on the Gunnison River today, but Rob got this nice brown trout on a big stonefly nymph early.
It was another beautiful day today, and a lot like August and not September. We’re still getting good fish on dry flies, like this nice brown trout Debbie got here on a Royal Stimulator.
I had a lot of fun these past couple of days with the Jersey Boys, John and Tom. We had a great day of dry fly fishing today and the guys landed some really nice wild trout like this beautiful brown John caught here.
It was a bright and sunny day today, with no real bug activity, but we got some good fish to look up at hoppers and stimulators. Jack landed this nice brown after it attacked his hopper.
September has arrived and so have the salmon. There doesn’t seem to be very many around yet, but we found a few today on the Gunnison River. They really made us work, but Debbie hung in there and landed this HUGE male. She did a great job fighting the fish…
Caught a big rainbow today with my 7′ 6″ bamboo rod and a size 20 dry fly. Very fun!
